It didn't happen to have a band on one of it's legs did it ? Most of the larger exotic bird sold legally in the states are banded.

No - this doesn't apply to the erotic - Red-headed double breasted bed thrasher either.

No, no band. I'm on the site Barb posted seeing if I can find it. It may be some sort of small hawk though the beak looked very parrot-like, like a lovesbird's or parakeet's only bigger.
