He's a dork, but he is a big gamer and was soooooooo excited...just like it was some sort of mission. He was all giddy waiting for it to be time to go there. The ladies had fun this morning b/c we got up extra early to take him coffee, fresh gloves, and breakfast - we had a mission of our own.

They're coming out at 8am to hand out tickets to the people in line and at 9am they can go in and purchase their systems. It had to be the nastiest night in a LONGGGGGGGG time...the poor things.

Apparently people camped out at Wal-Mart yesterday during the day and they handed out tickets at 5pm for the systems that were up for sale at midnight.
I find it amazing that an item is so important that people will camp out for it.

That's just sad.
Never understood why folks feel it's necessary to crawl into a fantasy world to fufill their need for adventure and excitement.

I bet he even drives a vehical with an automatic transmission.

The Best Buy website was totally clogged by 11:45pm w/people waiting to hit them with an order at midnight. The phones were a mess, too, and there was no getting through. No choice but to go and wait. Although cold and tired, he's having fun and is all psyched about it.

I don't know anyone who would do that even if they were giving it away for FREE.

To each his own. He wanted it now, as opposed to March/April timeframe. Several people were there to buy the item as a present for a child. My
Dad says he's an idiot...My Mom said she'd have done the same thing for an upgrade to her Husqvarna Viking sewing machine.
