Can they or can't they cut your electric service off in the winter months?
Does anybody know.

They have always been able to cut you off, but out of the kindness of their hearts they had not been doing it. I guess they have taken hits by many that never pay their bills so it's "no more Mr. Nice-guy".

There was a big write up in the Enterprise not that long ago that stated they have been given authority to cut off electricity for the deadbeats that continue not to pay their bills... even if electricity is the only heat source for the household.

Why is this so awful? Aren't most of these people the same people that won't pay their bills, but have cable, internet, cell phones, name brand purses and bling? If it's someone that's really trying to pay their bills, they can get assistance from their local church or salvation army.
