That sounds like a good book, have you tried any of the recipes?

No, it seems like everytime I get set to try one, I am missing some of the ingrediants. I think I am going to sit down this weekend and check off a few that sound good and go get the ingrediants. If I find some really good ones I will post them. Maybe we could all do an email recipe chain? Those interested could post their emails, we could then send a recipe to everyone when we come across something new?

I don't like any email chain, you can start your own forum for premo members and then folks could post their favorte recipes in the appropriate thread... for example "chicken recipes", "pork recipes", etc... I got another cook book this weekend and it wasn't until I was at home that I read it was a "fine" cooking recipe book I have yet to make a "fine" cooking recipe where the actual cooking of the product was longer than trying to find all the particular hard-to-find ingrediants.

My family is not fond of leftovers either but I generally try to cook only once/week (Sundays). Some people are really good and do once a month cooking - see http://sheknows.com/about/look/1713.htm. I've found my food vacuum sealer is the best thing I've ever bought for the kitchen and lets me avoid giving 4-day-old leftovers to the dog.

I don't make the same food over and over again - that's boring. I buy what's on sale at the supermarket to mix things up and save $ at the same time. I have a bookshelf full of cookbooks but have found those get tedious as well. So mostly now I google the word recipe and the ingredients I want to use and get a new meal every time.

If your family won't eat leftovers, you can do prep work one day/week (brown beef, bake chicken, slice onions) and then easily put together combined meals during the week. Or, you can do what I do and tell them that if they don't like what's for dinner they can make their own dinner. --they get over it
