| The damage is enough that MR Nationwide is coming tomorrow morning to check out the cost. so far I have spent money on two of my workers to come over and clear about 40 foot of tree and debris from the roof, do a temp type patch over the hole where the branch went through and cover the skylight with plastic.

| oh, the good part is that my home was built in 1931, and they used 2x8 oak to frame the roof.... the trusses held tight with no damage. The 1 inch boat lap that they used to cover the trusses held all except in the area that the branch broke through, and where the brunt of force hit around the bathroom skylight. on a new home, it might have taken out the whole roof. the trunk was about 13 inches where it broke off and hit the house. so I guess, in all of the aggrivation, I should be glad that it was not greater damage.
