house prices near Pax River?
Anyone know if I could get a decent place near the base for under 1250 a month? (at least 2 bedroom 1.5 bath) We have a 2 year old and a dog...

A 1 bedroom apartment around here runs over $900.00 a month, so I cannot imagine what a 2 bedroom price tag looks like. You may get lucky. Look here:

I think there's something posted on our board at work for close to that. I can check on Monday and get back to you if you'd like. And during one of my aimless walks I thought I saw a sign out in front of some home on Trapp Road (if you don't mind the boonies). I'll check for ya!

If that house on Trapp Road is the same one I'm thinking of... The man and I stopped just out of pure curiosity and grabbed a flyer and I think it was selling for almost $900,000.00... YIKES! There were a couple others for sale on Trapp, but I think they sold already.

The big one with the tower looking thing shacky looking barn off to the side? I guess that's for sale now, it was for rent for a long time. I think that's on a lot of property. Or are you talking about the one further down that caught on fire and the guy restored it and ran out of money before he could finish? That guy really needs to go in and clean up the grounds it's trashy looking. Are you down this way? I'm trying to collect names for a Meet and Greet maybe this summer, monks schiebles someplace down this end of the county. Interested maybe?

Yup, the one with the barn that was for rent and is now for sale is the same one I'm talking about... Almost a million bucks! Can you believe it! That house has like 9 acres of land with it though, and apparently quite a few of the lots were perked so one of thier selling points is that those lots could be sold off as a little subdivision. Just what we need another subdivision....

Yup I'm down here in the country too and loving it. A meet and greet sounds fun.
