Local Farmers' Markets
Shameless plug but admin says it’s ok

Fresh local produce is now available at the following Farmer’s Markets:

California Farmers’ Market
Located at the BAE parking lot (corner of Town Creek Drive and Rt. 235 across from Wal-Mart)
Open Saturdays May 6, 2006 through October 28, 2006 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

North St. Mary's Farmers’ Market
Located at the Charlotte Hall Library (corner of Rt. 6 & Rt. 5)
Open Mid April through October Monday through Saturday, daylight hours

For more information about either Market, please contact the St. Mary’s County Agriculture Division at 301-475-4200 ext. 1402

Question When are they "open"?
When do they sell? Also, anyone know of a good butcher shop
around Bryan's Road or Waldorf?

Nick's of Clinton (in Waldorf) has great fresh cut meat. I dont think they are really considered a butcher, but its the closest to it that I know of.
