Do you believe in ghosts or not? Why? Share your experiences! I have great orb photos from Sotterly Plantation and elsewhere.

It must have been about 6 months after my dad died, but I had a dream about him. He was sitting in his favorite rocking chair and wearing his favorite plaid shirt. I asked what he was doing, because he was supposed to be DEAD! He said, "just hanging out" and smiled at me. I started crying and told him to never, ever trick me into believing he was dead. I started to hug him and told him "don't go, dad!". I woke up crying and screaming out "don't go, dad" so loud, that I woke my entire family!!!!! When I woke up.......I had his smell on my clothes!!!!!!!!!!!

I don't know if this has anything to do with ghosts, but I've had this same thing happen with my mother died when I was 11, my dad, and just recently my step-mom.

I believe that the people who love you the most, will make sure you are okay, before they "move on". I hope this is true. I miss my family so very, very, very much. But I, at least, have the peace of mind that they are okay.
I think this must have something to do with the greiving process. I had 2 or 3 of the same kinds of dreams after my father died 5 months ago. I don't remember anything like a smell though.

My uncle died about 3 years ago. He lived with my grandmother and she swears she feels and hears his spirit around.

As for myself, I have seen something that is unexplained. We had a haunted cemetary back home, not MD. Once a year or so, we used to see red lights near the church from the driveway. We never tried to walk up and see what they were because we were scared. I figured it was some kind of reflection. However, one night I drove my friend there trying to scare her and the light appeared right in front of my truck. It was about 10 ft up in the air and about 10-20 feet away. It was about the size of a floodlight you would put in your yard. I had already turn the truck around in case we did see something, so I was able to step on the gas and haul butt.

There was nothing there for it to be attached to. No tree, post, anything, just air. It had to be floating. I have no idea what it was or who it might have been. All I know was my blood froze when I saw it and now if someone make me go there after dark, I get so scared I cry.

Did this light have any intelligence to it? Did it move of stay stagnant?

No, the light didn't seem to have any intelligence. It was just floating there, not really moving. I didn't have a camera or anything as it was just a spur of the moment thing. You know, I never thought about going and trying to get pictures. After that incident, I was reallly too scared. The last time we went I got to scared to stay and wait.

This was a kind of halloween ritual we had. We would all load up in the back of a truck and drive down there at midnight. I believe we saw the light twice on Halloween, but like I said they were way back near the church and barely pinpricks. The time this happened, it was the middle of the summer about 10pm and it was almost right in my face. Ironically, this is the same cemetary my father was just burried in. Maybe when I go back home, I will look again as I am older and take boyfriend who is not scared of anything.

The light could be anything, really.

Give me a shout if you intend on going back there, I'd like to investigate the place a bit.

I have pictures I could send you. Over in Calvert County near cypress creek there is an old house. I took pictures of the side from a hole in the wall. I did not use a flash and the there were no other openings because they had all been sealed up.
