Tree bandits!!!!

I cannot believe this.....I wrote about the tree that crushed our new fence. And just for those who said "look at the people who had tree's crush their houses" YES, I AM GRATEFUL ONE DID NOT CRUSH MY HOUSE! The tree was 60 ft. and it was my husband, daughter and I who cleaned up most of the mess!

However - this one really gets me. Hubby and I were outside continuing the clean-up this morning. Some Butt-Nugget comes driving by in his truck and says "I can pull that stump for you! I'll only charge you $800.00!!!!!!! I usually charge $1,000.00"!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Talk about someone out to make a buck on other people's misery!!!!!!!!!

The last hurricane that blew through here put a tree on my son's car - and we were able to cut down the tree's, pull the stumps, etc., ourselves. It was really hard work - but we did it. Now imagine all the older folks out there who cannot do this type of thing for themselves or don't know anyone who could help out! They are the perfect prey for these damn tree bandits!

I just told them "thats fine, honey. My son probably SOLD you your bobcat! I'm good"!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

If it was St. Mary's Tree Service, offer them $500. They negotiate. And make them grind the stump for that, also. Wait a few weeks.

After things settle down, have a reputable company grind it up. You can also rent a stump grinder if you don't mind getting your teeth fillings shook out.
