In that case, go really fast causing a spin out and loss of control, then your odds are only a 1/4th chance of hitting a deer with the front of your vehicle compared to the sides and rear

Like anyone that has ever hit a deer has any fu$king idea that it is about to happen. Then have time to think it through. Give me a break. The best way to avoid deer is to keep your eyes on the road, put away the damn cell phone, put down the newspaper, soda, pizza, burger, and drive like it is important to your safety and health.

I'd rather hit the deer with a 30.06, and put it's azz in the freezer.

Don't forget that if you see one deer, you are likely to see another

Another good pointer!! I do the same for a dog or a cat if one darts out in the road, I still slow down, wondering if there's another dog or cat chasing it. Good point!!!

Not that I was putting this theory to rest, but I hit my first deer tonight actually I obliterrated it and it did the same to the front right side of my truck I slammed the breaks on as hard as I could and then let up a split second before, the deer went flying up about 20 feet in the air.. I pulled over as did the two cars that by the grace of God didn't slam into me. They both kept commenting about the flying deer and they'd seen nothing like it and how high up in the air I got it. I killed it
