Question Bike paths near Stoddert and Sentry Woods question

Does anyone know why they closed the bike paths last week to the students of Stoddert after school?
Also anyone have any information about an incident in the Sentry Woods neighborhood last week in the morning when the elementary school kids were waiting for the bus?

Didn't hear they were closed but I do know that when I lived in Sentry woods I used to ride through there with my kids and have seen a few creepy characters hanging out in there.

Don't know what day and time you are talking about, but :

INDECENT EXPOSURE: On Nov. 13 at 8:50 a.m., Charles County Sheriff’s officers responded to the 12600 block of Willow View Place in Waldorf for the indecent exposure report. Investigation revealed the victim, a 29-year-old Waldorf woman, was sitting in her vehicle when she observed the suspect emerge from the woods and expose himself. The suspect is described as a dark-complexioned black male between 16 and 25 years of age and between 5 feet 8 inches and 5 feet 10 inches tall. He was wearing a blue or black jacket, dark pants and a ski mask.
Anyone with information about this incident is asked to contact the Charles County Sheriff’s Office at 301-932-7777. Cpl. K. Wilson is investigating.

My kid goes to Stoddert. Grapevine said they were expecting a fight between a couple of groups of knuckleheads after school. So they "asked" the kids not to take the path to make sure everybody stayed in view during the trip home.

My daughter and some of my friends kids are going to stoddert next year and year after. I am scared to death. Really considering moving or private school. I have heard some bad things. True or just stories??? My son went there three years ago and he did OK but there was a lot of crap then too.

We love the administration at the school. They are really on top of everything that happens. If your kids are in AP classes then they are away from alot of the problems. The 6th grade enrichment teachers are awesome, I have had any contact with the other teachers. They work the kids hard. Before deciding to try another school do like we did set up a meeting with the principal and let her know all your concerns. I do not let my kid walk or ride the bus to school, i pick her up and take her and a few friends. This works well. If you do decide to go next year try this suggestion above and then decide.

I just didn't understand what was wrong with the bike paths and was concerned.

I did however find out that the same day there had been a robbery on the bike path while the kids were in school. Not sure which path it happened on. Apparently some one was robbed of their bike I believe.

I also wish the police would make the ice cream man move from the corner of the road and Wakefield Circle. The kids gather there after school and there are also high school kids there.
