Smile Back from Proton treatment for Cancer

I made it. Now if the rain stops I will go sailing.

I finished 44 <A HREF="http://www.protonbob.com/proton-treatment-homepage.asp">Proton</A> treatments at Loma Linda Hospital.

Please, if anyone gets Cancer, or known someone, please send them this link. (www.protonbob.com)

Its like Scotty in Star Trek. The treatment killed my Cancer (Well I will really know in 4 months), with very little side effects. The Loma Linda Proton center has a 1 cm accuracy in delivering the radiation to the Cancer. So other area's of the body are spared. Like my bladder.

We had 3 Doctors in treatment when I left. One is a Trauma doctor, and he said not having an operation (That what he does, cut people) was the way to go. This guy voted with his feet.

I also had a guy come in, who could not sit up, his pain was so bad. His tumor was around his spine, and the cutting doctors would not operate. I saw him 2 weeks ago, after 10 treatments. He was sitting up, his tumor had shrunk, and he was looking for a full cure.

I will talk to anyone with Cancer. You do need the good, the bad, and the ugly, of any treatment out there.

"Leukemia type cancers?"

The Loma Linda Hospital uses protons for patients who have localized cancers that they see on a MRI or Cat scan. Thats because the Proton beam is so accurate, that they need an accurate spot to hit. A good target in other words, so my prostrate Cancer was a good target. (They have done 12,000 Prostrate Cancer Folks in the last 15 years).

here is the LLU web address: http://www.llu.edu/proton/index.html
