Luminaria-Relay for life

The Relay for life is coming up in June... For anyone out there who would like a luminaria lit for a friend or family member ... It is a beautiful and touching ceremony... Last year i walked the entire Relay.. and I am looking forward to doing it once again this year...

When the sun goes down, hundreds of luminarias light the way under the stars and a moment of silence falls during the ceremony of hope. Luminarias are glowing bags that on first glance appear to be nothing more than paper sacks filled with sand and candles. But upon closer examination, these bags represent people, each with a name and a story to tell.

The ceremony of hope is one of the most special and moving events in the entire Relay For Life®™. Everyone gathers around to remember those lost to cancer, support those fighting cancer, and rejoice with those who have fought the disease and won. Luminarias are available for a contribution to the American Cancer Society.

Click on "Relay Site" at the end of this thread... then enter the amount of the donation you would like to make and click continue, select "Luminaria Donation" at the top of the donation form to order luminaria for your loved ones and friends who have experienced cancer. You can honor a cancer survivor by placing their name under “In Honor Of" or you can remember someone who has lost their battle by placing the name under “In Memory Of.” Each individual’s name will appear on a luminaria and will be lit during the Luminaria Ceremony at the Relay For Life®™.

if you are not able to make a luminary purchase online I do have the luminary forms avail for anyone that wishes to purchase one via check or cash. Just shoot me a pm.

I believe it is too late to start your own team, but I think that you might be able to join exsisting teams as some are still searching for members...
