The Lexington Park Movie Theatre Sucks!!!!!

Why can't we just blow up this place and get a new state of the art movie theatre????

Yesterday myself and some friends went there and I don't really know why and after about 20 minutes into the movie the sound starting screwing up and the picture starting flashing....After the employess of the theatre walked in about 50 times and stared at the screen thinking it was gonna fix itself it finally starting working again...Then it screwed up some more...So as people started getting mad and walking out it finally got straight...You would think we would have atleast got our money back..But since theres never really alot of people there anyways I guess they needed the money more than us...I would have left but my feet were so stuck to the floor I didnt think I was ever gonna get up...Oh and another thing do not get up and leave because they only had about 10 seats in the theatre anyways because all the rest were broken and had sheets over top of them...What a dump!!!!!

I just don't understand all the people in St. Mary's County and all the people from the base why we can't get a decent movie theatre...Everybody else has stadium seating and reclining chairs and stuff..I guess because all people know how to do is stab and shoot people....and when they are not doing that they are just tearing stuff up....That is all......

Ok the last statement you made was rather outrageous, and I have no idea what any of that has to do with the what I call "Rick Rock" theater. The place is a shanty..and its a terrible excuse for a movie theater. i hear the one on base is worse. It is sad, it is not well kept....doesn't seem like any renovations have been done to it since it first opened. But, I hate to travel to waldorf...which isn't a whole hell of a lot better. Nothing about this place is conveinence at all. And the things that are of somewhat conveinence are absolute crap. Movie theater, bowling alley, sad excuses for clubs/bars. I give it a two thumbs down!!

The problem with anything like that is clientele. If you build something nice shiatbags will tear it up in no time. The only way to keep the shiatbags out is to jack the prices up so they cannot afford it and then the wealthy shiatbags will still tear it up.

Stay at home and buy a big screen HDTV because people suck.

I guess I'll wander down to St Mary's City instead of going to the movies today.

I've been there several times, as I am sure you have. Never had any trouble, never had a problem.

I'm sure there have been offers to put a theater in California or Hollywood.I just wonder what has stopped them.

The base theater is actually in pretty good shape. This past year they put some money into it and tore out the old crappy seats and put in new ones. Other upgrades were done too. Is it state of the art stadium seating?...Nope, but that theater is used for a lot more than just inexpensive movies on the weekends so they had to consider the seating options in view of other uses. All in all....it's not bad.

Companies do pretty good studies on profitability. It could be it was not worth the investment.

I think the problem with the theater in Lexington Park is management. Simple things like cleanliness and the general atmosphere can be fixed by the type of people that work there. If you see someone breaking somehting on purpose kick them out, if they won't leave call the police. Simple as that.

Hard to tell in a dark theater. Good help is a rare thing these days.
