dog leash laws

i'm new to the county and wanted to know the dog (leash) laws. i'm assuming my neighbor thinks that because her pit/rot? is in the yard it doesn't need to be restrained. i hate driving up or coming outside to see this dog. i'm not into dogs and i would hate for my kids to be outside riding their bikes(as they have been with the nice weather) and the dog decides to wander or maybe come after them.

I think you have to purchase them out right as I haven't seen any lease options.

Maybe lease with an option?

I'm willing to lease my three out for a few days, we are going away for the weekend soon. I have two shih tzus and a german shepherd/lab mix. Very well behaved, the kids will love them!

#1 - your a cowboys fan, no one cares about your lease laws
#2 - Why are you so quick to assume it's a pit/rot?
#3 - The dog will probably treat your kids better than you will.
#4 - If the dog IS IN their yard, nothing you can do about it...

My rottie used to love children riding their bikes, he could never satsify his appetite. Tasty little morsels!

In all seriousness.....if the yard isn't fenced, I'm pretty sure the dog still has to be on a leash. I mean...I watched an expert (er, Judge Judy) yell at a lady for letting her dogs out....they weren't on a leash and they attacked someone.

I thought all dogs had to be on leashes unless in a fenced yard. I could be mistaken though.

I've leased dogs before. It hurts when I trade them in for the newer models...but it is so worth it. I just can't see paying the balloon payment for an older dog. Soon as you take them out of the kennel...they loose their value so quickly!
