Anyone know a good rheumatologist?

Hi everyone,

I was told that I need to see a rheumatologist, but the doctor I saw only knew of one in Greenbelt. I have seen Dr. Timmons in Leonardtown before, but now live in Northern Calvert and don't want to start seeing him again for something that may end up being an ongoing thing. Does anyone know of a good rheumatologist in northern Calvert, Anne Arundel, DC...? TIA!

i dont know how good she is, but there is a rhuematologist in prince frederick in the building that does imaging. Her name is Asha George....be warned tho, she told me last week I have fibro myalgia, my friend has it, and 2 other people are waiting on diagnoses. She seems a little fibro happy.....but she does have an ok bedside manor. My PCP referred me to Doctor Mehta in Annapolis....

I see Dr. Maheesh Chandra. He is located in Waldorf and Clinton. He is really slow, but also takes his time with you to hear about your history. He is also fibro happy, but thats why I see him.

Thanks, everyone. I do not need a fibro specialist, but may see one of the ones mentioned since that is better than just picking one off a list. I need to be evaluated for RA and/or Lupus, so if anyone know of someone who specializes in that, keep on posting. Thanks again!

I see a doctor in Clinton or Greenbelt office. His name is Dr. Adelson. He is a very detailed oriented doctor, and he has years of experience. All of his doctors below him are awesome too. I used to go to him for my Rhe. Arthritis. Good luck with your search!

I believe Southern Md Orthopaedics had one on staff when I went to them, but I'm not 100% sure. It might've been a "pain mgmt specialist" ... worth a call though if they're closer.

Dr Michelle Petri at Johns Hopkins is magnificient. She is very personable and I never leave not having an answer. As well she always responds to her patient emails.

I agree!! Haven't had to go back for years but glad he is there! He is conservative which I appreciate and he is very positive. Good luck! I saw him in Clinton.
