| PAXRVR Noise Advisory: Jan 22-25, 2013
NAVAL AIR STATION PATUXENT RIVER, Md. - Communities surrounding the naval air station are advised that noise-generating night-time testing events are scheduled to take place Tuesday, Jan. 22, 2013, until Friday, Jan. 25, 2013. Test events are scheduled from 4:30-9:30 p.m.
Pilots at PAX will be testing and training for realistic night flight scenarios. These events will include, night precision runway approach and landing and low-visibility operational testing. Night testing and training is essential for the precision and safety of our military men and women and the success of their mission. Residents may notice increased noise levels due to these operations.
