I assumed what he had on was what we used to call a POSEY...But it must be lock and keyed..No violence that they have told me or I have seen when there..He has mittens on to keep him from pulling tubes etc..He got his trache out yesterday...but now has a pic line in for antibiotics as he contracted MRSA infection...uggg...and he had neck surgery and it settled in there...I know he wants to try to get up and walk and he "has no real idea what is going on or where he is" so he would be a danger if he was up and moving..

He may not really need restraints, at least not locking restraints.

Regardless, we had a terrible experience with Bayside and one of my exes relatives. I'd try for a different nursing home if possible.

I actually told them NO anyway on that...I have him on a list for St Marys..I remember 20 yrs ago working at St Marys Hosp and Bayside had a horrible rep...so the plan is move him somewhere..then when the opening comes at St Marys move him there...

What do you do though if everyone says no. I just don't get it. They are refusing him the treatment that he needs. What about Cedar Lane. That's closer to you than Bayside.

Cedar Lane have a rehab??? They do not have beds like that do they??? Heck that would be a breeze...I could send Kwillia over to check on him

I have no idea but it's worth looking into. It's a nursing home isn't it? Not just an assisted living place

If they do, that would make it so much easier for you.
