some of the dealerships will sign up John Doe for classes throughout the season as soon as regristration opens so they can give or sell them to customers

Oh, I think we are going to take the class in September this fall. And I am going to start seriously looking into what I want around then. I will probably buy Nov/Dec timeframe, or I'll just wait until early next year (before March) and buy then.... All depends how much I can save up between doing some things around the house that wifey and I want to do...and how many unexpected "oh sh*ts" happens from now til then

Went and looked at an 03 Fatboy anni. all done up, decked out in chrome and everything else (I think the only thinkg stock on this bike is the rider )... Bike was frickin WAY sweet

I loved it, wifey loved it, know the owner so I know its well taken care of and all that....

I think if he doesn't sell it by the time I'm ready to buy, and I can't find an 06-07 I just have to have, I am 95% sure I will buy it.

But now I'm in that inbetween though process...

I only want a 06-07, possibly 08 because of the 6 speed tranny, but depending what I get, I'd still have to mod it myself, where as for say same price, maybe a touch more, I'd have everything done that I could think of wanting already done to the bike, but would have to give up 6th gear....

So I do have some thinking to do, luckily I know I am not buying til later this year, so I got time

I've never met anyone that hasn't modified their bike to some extent

Make sure they've put the modification in that quiets 5th gear down. When they came out with the 6 speed, alot of folks complained about the noisy 5th gear. Then they came out with a fix for it, but you had to buy it and pay to have it installed. You'd think they would have put it in as a recall type item.

Well, it has become obvious to me that either Desertrat or I need a new bike. Best scenario would be that I get the new Harley and DR keeps his bike and we sell my bike. Worst scenario is that I take his 1100 and he gets a big old Harley. Hmmmmm.
