Dry clutch, you can run just about any SAE oil, does yours call for 20/50? I run Mobil 1 in my R1150RS

And should be an easy change.. Oil filter wrench might be hard to come by unless you go back to the dealer.

Did you ever consider, as a last resort, consulting the owner's manual?

What fun would that be?

That and you take away the opportunity to brag on owning a K1200R, and can't blame him that's one hell of a ride.

For 2K more I can choose between a Honda, or a BMW?

I'd buy the BMW.

BUT, if I wanted a track bike, I'd pick the CBR.

Your $$$, and the 1100XX really wouldn't really be a great track bike, too porkey in the turns. Its more of an Open Class GT type, like the Beemer. Now the CBR1000RR.....

Show you how much I know about Honda. I thought they were one and the same.

I'd love to get them side by side.. take them both through their paces.

How many HP on the CBR?

Its a little known nitch bike, which I like. My '03 CBR1100XX in current tune puts a bit over 130 ponys at the crank. Chain drive (I know) so not much loss to the rear tire. Its a solid, heavy GT Sport-Tour bike, emphasis on sport. Handles like its on rails. Tops out at about a buck-eighty, not that I'd know for sure. Its why 'Zuke made the Hayabusa. The CBR1000RR is all sport, a blast to ride, and leaves one with numb hands and feet and a nosebleed after an hour or so in the saddle. Not my style any more. Age and sense....
