Charlotte Hall Veterans Home Poker Run 12 Aug 06 will start at 1100 at the Veterans Home. The last stop will be at the California VFW. This Poker Run is Sponsered by the US Military Vets Motorcycle Club of Southern Maryland and is open to all vehicles. Due to budget cuts at the home, if you do not have a sponser you go without the basic items. www.usmvmcsmd.org/files/2006_poker_run.pdf has a copy of the flyer and the items needed for the residents. The cost for the Poker Run is $15 worth of new items from the list (you can bring more) or $15 cash (the money will be spent on items for the Residents). All proceeds will go to the residents in the home as items from the list.

Had a great ride today. After signing up at the Charlotte Hall veterans home, we hit the Indian Head and Clinton VFWs then the American Legion in Hughesville and ended at the VFW in California. Don't think we did more than 5 miles of multi lane road between the Veterans home and the American Legion in Hughesville. All twisty, shaded back roads with little to no traffic. Can't say enough about how great the route they laid out was. Thanks guys (and ladies). Total ride length was about 120 miles, we finished at the California VFW by about 2:30
