Thumbs up The Brave One

With Jodie Foster.

Synopsis:
“Why don‘t they stop me?“ Erica Bain wonders. Bain, a popular N.Y radio host, watched her fiancé die and nearly lost her own life to a vicious, random attack. Now she discovers a stranger within herself, an armed wanderer in the urban night, out for vengeance and at war with her own soul. Two-time Academy Award winner Jodie Foster, as Erica, joins Oscar nominee Terrence Howard, as a determined cop hot on her trail. Erica?s future is uncertain, but one thing is not: THE BRAVE ONE is a high- tension thriller that packs a visceral and emotional punch.

(Not sure if anyone has put a recommendation out on this movie but excellent movie)

We saw the film last night. I thought it to be a pretty good flick. I think most who choose action/adventure/thrillers will empathize with the Jodie Foster's character, right or wrong (legally) and possibly feel a little justified.

Terence Howard is cool. I like him. I'm smiling as I type this, because no matter what I've seen him in (Crash) or will (like this), I can't help but see him 'froed out singing, "You know it's hard out here for a pimp..."

Anyhoo, check it out if you like a little street action violence and such...

I completely empathized with her character in this movie and could feel her aggression and anger over what happened and what was going on around her. I don't want to spoil it for those who haven't see it so I'll stop right here and just say this, it was thought-provoking in the sense that these thugs were running around terrorizing people, armed, and how it could be a different society if they even wondered for a moment that they could be shot by an armed citizen they were victimizing.

Ohhhh, now that you mention it, you're right. Isn't that the movie where the thug cuts the woman's (his mom if I remember correctly) finger off to get her ring?
