What did you think of it? I loved it. The guy was a little ill-prepared for the Alaskan wild, but I thought all the interaction with the different people he encountered and the story in general were great. Lots of good acting.

I was born with a wandering jones and the movie just hit home with me.

Mostly, I thought it was a waste of 2 1/2 hours.

The family the guy came from lives in Chesapeake Beach. Kind of interesting. Nobody else saw this great movie or read the book?

I do want to see this, because I am one of those who has dreamed of going off alone to 'test' myself and do something different. But, after reading his story, I must say he was rather boneheaded; he went in virtually unprepared, lacking equipment, supplies, or even a map.

I don't know how the movie portrays him, and I've heard that - if for nothing else - the movie does offer some nice views of the Alaskan wilderness.

Well yes, there was that.

Remember when the bear came by his trailer and he just stood there while the bear sniffed him. Even the bear decided there wasn't much of a meal on him and went elsewhere.
