Some frightening trivia...

I'm watching Friday the 13th part III in 3-D.

Here's the trivia!

How many people fall helpless victim to Jason Vorhees (the killer) in all the Friday the 13th films combined.

The closest to the number garners nerdy bragging rights.

Don't be a cheat and look it up.

Oddly enough, there are no 13 deaths in any one film.

77 deaths...

I based my answer on an average of how many movies there are versus how many people I think you can kill in two hours while still making it a movie with dialogue and plot and all that stuff.

Not 77.

How many movies do you think there are now?

Also, we've become a society that thrives on violence. Thus, the death count in the subsequent films almost always gets higher.

11. The three numbered movies in the sequel, then the ones up to JasonX, and finally Freddy Versus Jason, which according to Wiki, is considered to be the final movie in the series.

I did not take the increase of bodies in to account.. THat would bring my guess up to 137.

Mind you, it's a guess. I could do the math or I could go look, but I'm guessing so I added and additional 60 bodies to my original guess. One for the first movie, 2 for the second, etc. THen finally, 11 for the last.

Sounds like a good guess to me Now I'll go cheat and look.

Hey!! According to this site...Friday the 13th Body Count!!!

I'm off by just a few!! Not bad for having never seen more than a few scenes of any film in the series.

I didn't know that Jason's mom had killed a few

Pretty close. I think 146 or so depending on what you believe. There are killings in dreams, accidental deaths, major explosions and sinkings, other murderers killing. Things can get so technical.

I hear they're re-making the original, which is set to debut in February 2009. It will probably bite.

Even violence has become passe'. That's why they are rehashing all the old movies. They sample other peoples music. How boring.

People don't have any imagination anymore and are jaded by all the crap we expose ourselves to.

Hide you kids Easter baskets, ok BL?? Sit them in front of a big ol' dirt pile with some water buckets and tell them to have at it. Let them learn to entertain thenselves without pluggin in to something or shocking their brains with exteme images.

There's no substitute for playing with yourself.
