Atonement

... it's like a bunch of vignettes which link together forwards, backwards, and sideway...

How the heck did this movie win tons of awards?

It's... hard to follow.

I didn't think it was a particularly well made movie. I knew what it was about before I watched and I was still confused. If I hadn't already known that Briony misinterpreted the relationship between Cecelia and Robbie (which wasn't even well developed) I wouldn't have figured it out. One of those books that should never have been made into a movie. It was almost embarrassingly terrible.

On the subject of glorified movies, I am trying to determine what driving force led critics to toss accolades to No Country for Old Men.

I had to look it up on IMDB just to figure out where I was lost...

Awful... I want that 2 hours of my life back.

The only thing I liked about it (aside from James McAvoy's face) was the click-clack of the typewriter keys integrated into the music.

I read the book, which was also highly acclaimed. It wasn't a particularily good read either.

I'm the oddball. I liked them both.

I also liked "No Country for Old Men", thought the ending was great.
