I watched it last night. Great performance by Danile Day-Lewis. I mainly got it for the early oil drilling aspect, but got sucked in by the utter soulessness of the lead character.

Great picture and by that I mean visually.

The plot seemed as dry as the landscape they worked in. The film was just weird. I fell asleep a few times.

Just watched for the first time last night. I agree with your opinion, they ending was odd as well.

Daniel Day-Lewis is a great actor, IMO. In this film, he - as a oilman with a "vision", totally wows me once again. The story, without such a strong frontman, would not a good movie maketh, I don't thinketh!

I hope someone linked to the movie, bc I really suck at movie reviews!

Anyway, good flick - the ending left you
