...Durham's not a love story???

The Natural did a great job with the uniforms, the feel and look of the stadiums and I enjoyed the characters and the story. It's a baseball movie!

Yeah, but the baseball was more real and, to me, played a bigger part in the movie. And, I'm sorry, but the ending of "The Natural" was too over the top. I would have been okay with the home run, but the light towers exploding was just too much.

I know that, I was talking about my outburst. I guess it wasn't very funny though

I don't know why, but I was able to suspend reality for that one more than I usually do. I think it was the "catch" with Dad that did it for me. Never had the opportunity to do that, and I made sure I've done it with my son. And he knows as much baseball history as I could teach him.

Good pick on For the Love of the Game

And I like just about most of them, though I definitely think The Natural should well come before Mr. Baseball.

I won't rehash my dislike for "The Natural". I picked "Mr Baseball" notbecause of Selleck, but because it showed a different angle to the game and the way the Japanese "idolize" American Players. Up to a point.
