I've never seen it, but I'd like to. I have a question though. There are some skeezy farriers that hang out at the MD State Fair, and on their sign it says something like "We don't shoe pigs" or something like that. I asked what it meant, and they told me to watch Lonesome Dove. What does it mean? Is this a stupid question?

I can't say enough bout that movie, I have never seen a movie that nailed the characters from the book so perfectly. Read the book, then kinda half heartedly started watching the mini-series, expecting the worst. It's probably the only movie/mini series that I have ever seen where I think it was better than the book, and in my book, thats damn near impossible to do.

I may be mistaken but I thought it was something like 'we don't rent pigs' think it was on the "Lonesome Dove" ranch sign.

You should really see it! Great movie/series. I remember watching it when it was a kid and just fell in love w/ it. I need to pull it out and watch it again. You will not be disaapointed.
