Star Trek good? REALLY?????

I was gonna say, this person sounds like the kind of person that would really enjoy a movie like "A Beautiful Mind". While there's nothing wrong with that, if you go into the movie with that sort of expectation (even if you claim that's not what you're looking for) when you're watchin friggin TRANSFORMERS, then you're bound to be disappointed. Some movies aren't made for the critic-type and this is one of them. It got poor reviews from the movie critics, but a ton of people liked the movie anyway.

lol, I know it sounds strange, but it's the only way I could phrase it.

In my opinion, the best action movies -- Raiders of the Lost Ark, Die Hard, Terminator 2: Judgment Day, The Rock (also directed by Michael Bay), The Dark Knight -- blend intense and elaborate action with character drama, mystery, suspense, etc.

Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen was just noise, noise, noise, nonstop. And, yes, by the 135 minute point, I was more than bored by the continued robot mayhem. I didn't care whether the Autobots or the Decepticons found the Matrix of Leadership, blah blah blah.

I just thought it was artless, and action movies don't have to be.
