A few things I wondered about: IIRC in the original movies didnt Leia describe to luke what their mother was like?

Was Capt. Antilees (sp) the same Wedge Antillees that went with Luke in IV to destroy the deathstar?

Is is safe to assume that vader figured out Qui-Gons after death communication trick because he can communicated at the end of ROTJ too?

Was really odd seeing the tall black vader we all know acting with emotion at the end too :P

After Luke knows that Leia is his sister, he asks her if she remembers her mother. She says her mother died when Leia was very young and all she has are images and feelings of a mother, not a real memory.

But it's common knowledge that Padme dies in childbirth and Luke and Leia are separated at birth so Darth can't get to them. They don't even block it out in the Rotten Tomatoes forum, like they block out the rest of the spoilers.

Well, that would indicate that she didn't die at childbirth...

Maybe it's in the DVD version - not sure. But I definitely went to the movie knowing Padme would die in childbirth. Maybe it was from all the reviews?

I just finished watching the first one (or fourth, depending on how you're counting) and I have a new appreciation for the originals.

I figured the Emperor taught him.

Unless it was her adoptive mother that died when Leia was young.

Maybe. I don't think it was addressed whether Leia knew she was adopted or not. She refers to her father, meaning Bail Organa, in the first one. And she has his last name, where Luke didn't take the name of Owen and Beru.

I just watched Phantom Menace and got re-annoyed with George Lucas. Creating a character like Jar Jar Binks is the height of laziness.

Darth Vraider has spoken.

I know I already knew Luke and Leia's Mother died in childbirth... I'm thinking I could only know this from one of the episodes...:

Odd, that she kept "princess", but otherwise thought she was a senator's daughter. :plothole:

Ever hear George Lucas talk? He sounds exactly like every character in the first two prequels (before Ewan McGregor broke out somewhat to imitate Alec Guinness), monotone and lifeless.

But, even with the plot holes, I still liked the new movie. It didn't grind to a screeching halt at times, the way the first two did.

Maybe it was in Return of the Jedi, when Luke told Leia they were siblings? Just guessing.
