It's about as good as the first with a very unpredictable ending.

My oldest son insisted I watch this with him last night. Great flick. I didn't see the 1st one, and I still enjoyed it. After the movie, they had little tid bits about the flick. They filmed 5 different endings and shot one on a closed set. They were terrified the ending would be released on the Internet and ruin the over all film.

Vrai,

You have mentioned that movies don’t keep your interest, this one will. I planned to only watch a little bit and move to the other room and watch Sponge Bob with my youngest. I got too involved in what is going to happen next.

I'm not a huge fan of the Saw franchise and I usually love horror. The first one had good suspense, but was brought down by the absolutely wretched acting, which made the acting in the Friday The 13th films seem Oscar-worthy. The sequel had better acting, but the puny mind of an uninspired '80s slasher. The extreme gore does make them fairly diverting, though. Still, not as good as people make them out to be, in my opinion (of course).
