| I saw it last night and am here to offer a warning: Don't trust the ads Universal Pictures is running in promotion of this film! They portray it as a raucous comedy along the lines of The 40-Year-Old Virgin, Old School, and Wedding Crashers. The actual product couldn't be farther from this. Yes, Vince Vaughn is used in a few hilarious scenes, but, overall, it's a rather serious romantic drama about the end of a long relationship. There's more tearful drama than giggle-inducing comedy, definitely. Despite this, I didn't feel gypped, because what I did see, if completely and utterly different than what I expected, was very well-done. Vaughn and Jennifer Aniston are quite believable in their roles and their fight scenes are affecting and often hard-hitting. It's a realistic depiction of a love affair's end and most of us will at least see something in it we can identify with, which is compelling. All in all, I would recommend it, but with a disclaimer: Don't go in expecting Wedding Crashers-style hilarity, but, rather, more down-to-Earth, even grim, human drama with dashes of subtle humor here and there. |

| Well, I went to go see this movie tonight with some friends, but the AMC gave us a free pass and a refund because they were having technical issues. |
