8 Below

OMG that was just an awesome movie I don't know how those dogs survived for so many days on their own and it was so sad that two of the dogs actually died. But that leopard seal was just so f8king nasty man (and so was the whale carcass)

Thumbs up

This was a good film. I went in dreading it, expecting a manipulative, over-the-top, so-called "inspirational" Disney film. What I received, however, was a genuinely gripping and very compelling adventure film with a big heart. I enjoyed how it thrilled children and adults alike, without pandering to either age group. It's not one of the year's best films or anything, but, for what it is, Eight Below's an exciting ride worth watching.

For those who missed it in theatres, the DVD hits June 20th, the same day as Syriana, the unmissable Oscar-winning thriller with Matt Damon and George Clooney, and The Hills Have Eyes, a spooky, extremely gory slasher NOT for Eight Below's main audience. ;-)
