| As someone who enjoys eating more than breathing, I am totally offended that you would choose to recognize oxygen before food. KEEP YOUR AEROCENTRISM TO YOURSELF BIGOT!!!!11!~!

![]() I would've voted against it solely to protest the time wasted on such useless garbage. Yes, let's piss around voting on whether Christmas is officially important. ![]()

| I think he only did it because some other dope got the other religions holidays recognized. Kind of making a statement. |

Recognizing the 100th anniversary year of the founding of the Port of Los Angeles Expressing sympathy and pledging to support the victims of the devastating flooding in southern Mexico The great hall of the Capitol Visitor Center shall be known and designated as the Emancipation Hall Recognizing the close relationship between the United States and the Republic of San Marino. And many, many more. This wasn't a stand against worthless garbage, it was a stand against recognizing Christmas and Christianity.

| I may end up regretting this, but I am seriously wondering how JPC, Sr. would have voted for all three mentioned religious resolutions. |

Recognizing Christmas (or any other holiday) as "officially important" is a waste of time. Just because the US "officially" loves Christmas doesn't make it any more or less important than it already was. It's importance and value is determined by each individual. No government resolution is going to change anybody's view about it...one way or the other. Last edited by Kerad : 12-12-2007 at 04:39 PM.

It's not as if these resolutions are creating the holiday itself. These holidays existed (and were observed) long before our wonderful lawmakers declared them officially "neat-o".
