"(Gary, IN, December, 12, 2007) — In court papers filed today in the Northern District Court of Indiana, Lambda Legal says that West Side High School violated Kevin "K.K." Logan's First Amendment rights when it barred him from his prom for wearing a dress.

K.K. Logan attended West Side High during his junior and senior year and expressed a deeply rooted femininity in his appearance and demeanor. Both classmates and teachers at the school supported him in his daily attendance dressed in clothes typically associated with girls his age."

Regardless of how everyone feels about a boy coming to the dance wearing a dress, the principal should've been consistant in applying the policy. She should not have allowed the girl in who was wearing a tux.

back in my day we did not refer to it as Support, I think back then the word was something like ,, asskicking on a regular basis.

The part that gets me is this kid has been wearing female attire all year at school.

Waiting for the prom to do something about it is a little late.

BCP is right. back in the 50's if a boy showed up wearing female attire we would have taken it and run it up a flagpole.

Let's not call it "making fun of." Let's be more PC and call it "character development." The other kids were only trying to help him develop his character. It's so hard to believe that a boy would want to dress up in a dress. What is going wrong in this world? I, as a father, would never let my son wear a dress.
