Yep. I grew up in TN, and he has his foibles.

...what I am saying is, is that Gore or W, whatever advantage they had growing up, and I would say no one would have heard of either absent who their parents were/are, actually do get the votes.

You can't just buy the seat. You can't just do nothing. People actually rejected Ted Kennedy. People actually rejected KKT.

Gore got in position, as did W, as did Ted, based on advantages given them. Then, they either close the deal or not.
