I was home from school because of teacher workday and watched it on TV. Called my mom and she thought I was lying. My brother was actually there at the launch and took pictures of it exploding.

Waitressing at Lenny's, people starting calling on their cells, and quite a few left, guess contractors. Couldn't believe what I had just saw.

West Palm Beach, Fl. Was inside watching the news, saw the launch, ran outside to wait for the climb. When it never showed up, went back inside to check the news, and found it had exploded.

Spanish class. Teacher was in the library with a bunch of other teachers watching the only TV in the school. She was 15 minutes late to class.

Yep, in the medical records department at Southern Maryland Hospital Center (used to work there). WGAY used to be piped in through the speaker system and they interrupted their programming for the special report.

I was in my college apartment between classes watching HBO. A friend called me an told me to turn on the news.

Just landed at an airfield in England, went in to check the weather for our final flight of the day. At first we couldn't find the weather guy, but then found he was fixed on the TV screen.

In my kitchen making a Boston cream Pie. I'll never forget the look on the face of the teachers parents who were there watching the launch, especially the mom.
