Boy Kills Himself After Getting Bullied at School

FAIRMOUNT HEIGHTS, Md. - An eight-year-old boy took his own life after he was bullied at a Prince George's County elementary school.

Police say the boy hanged himself in his own Fairmount Heights home last week. He was found by a 3-year-old girl and died later at a local hospital.

A medical examiner confirms to WTOP that the cause of death was suicide.

I'm not raising bullies, but I am raising them to be tough. When they get in trouble I tell them to get on their face and they drop like a rock and start doing pushups.

This makes me sad. How bad could things have been for this child to decide dying was the only option.

It just doesn't make any sense to me, suicide never once crossed my mind (although I'm sure alot of you wish it had ) when I was that age.
