I will agree with you that WWI was (as all wars are) an "accident" (not sure if that's the term you want to use, but I'll go along with it). But it sure wasn't the US's accident. Germany shed first blood. It was no accident that the US ended that war. THAT (devoid of any other moral definition) was the morally right thing to do.
...we read different books. Germany was in dire straights at home. She was suffocating in ways the other two were not because they DID get goods in from the see; Germany got none.

And WWII was NO accident.

Britain is thankful for nothing that she didn't do herself. Anytime you want a good argument, go to a pub that serves Guinness and find you someone from the UK and ask them what they would have done without us in one or two. They'll tell you how we helped THEM win it, a bit.

No. That is my point. You know, a counterpoint to the article. I thought that was what debate was about. You didn't really expect to post an article and just leave it at that did you?

None of your articles are about success; only doom and gloom and what a failure Bush is. Well, I aim to bring out the other side of the issue. Shed some positive light on the situation. Bring a little hope and optimism in your narrow place called the Evil America.

Or perhaps you are just a motormouth.

The entire continent was "suffocating" due to the accident Germany created. But, as you said, they were marginally ahead. Enough to give them reason to keep fighting; believing they were on the verge of crushing their enemy.

WWII was NO accident? Every war could be viewed as an accident. It was an accident that Germany (Hitler) believed he could dominate the world and eradicate the Jews. It was an accident that Hitler was ignored and allowed to so easliy march across Europe. Like I said, maybe accident isn't the right word to use here. There was no more reason for WWI Germany to attempt European domination than for WWII Germany to attempt European domination; except complete delusions of gradeur.

When I was stationed in Europe I was able to talk to many people from Germany, England, Spain, Italy, Holland, etc... and I would say there were more that held positive regard for what we have done over history than not. Most debates surround around political differences. Most just assume not talk about the wars; that is until they get drunk.

Well he may be a motormouth but I will say this about him. HE POST HIS OWN WORDS rather than cut and paste or link someone else's words.

Hey he actually has his own view of things and can articulate them where as you obviously may have your own opinion but you choose to use others words...

Of course I could be wrong but most of your responses sound like this: No your wrong, you are a motormouth... I think you get the point.
