No need to be crude. If I remember correctly, you are the one or two somdumites who constantly use the veteran tag to attack those who disagree with you. But feel free to correct me if I'm wrong. I don't feel I have to tout my service as you (and others) feel you have to, it was a job, a job anyone can feel pride in, but please don't try to portray your military service as somehow better than what others do. Get over it you twit.

The scientific community is making progress in many areas, perhaps this product will help you.....

It's like this loser boy. You are wrong (imagine that).

I do not use my veteran status to attack anyone. I don't have to tout my service for anything or anyone. I only attack clueless morons such as yourself.

I also state that you are a coward and you have done nothing to prove me incorrect.

I go out and get together with the folks from here. They know me and what I've done. When will you be joining us? We can then discuss our records.

Just a Normal Saturday in Iraq...

Proud Iraqis demonstrate the 'breathing room' that 4000 dead American soldiers who gave their lives up for a better world, and a magnified U.S. presence has given them in their road to peaceful co-existence with each other.

maybe I'm missing the 'big picture'. All I see is dead Americans, Dead Iraqis, and total chaos. It was a good thing that we went to war in Iraq, I can't imagine how awful the world would be today if we didn't.
At least 40 Iraqi national police in Baghdad have deserted and joined the Mehdi Army militia led by Muqtada al-Sadr, taking their U.S.-supplied weapons with them, according to an Iraqi Interior Ministry official.
The radical Shiite cleric rejected Iraqi Prime Minister Nuri al-Maliki's call for the Mehdi Army to lay down its arms, a top al-Sadr aide told CNN on Saturday.
"Muqtada al-Sadr has told us not to surrender our arms except to a state that can throw out the [American] occupation," Salah al-Obaidi said.
Mortar and rocket attacks were directed Saturday at Baghdad's fortified International Zone -- also known as the Green Zone -- where Iraqi government buildings and embassies are located. No injuries were reported, a U.S. Embassy spokesman said.

Nassar al-Rubaie, a Shiite member of parliament affiliated with the Sadr bloc, criticized the strikes against Shiite areas.
"We condemn U.S. airstrikes against Sadr City, Shula neighborhood and other areas," al-Rubaie said at a news conference. "We condemn the government asking occupation forces to carry out airstrikes against our people. We say Iraq sovereignty will not be achieved through military operation against Iraqis, as Bush claimed, but it can be achieved through throwing the occupation forces out of Iraq."
Another lawmaker accused al-Maliki of violating the constitution by deploying forces to attack Basra without notifying the city's local council. Falah Shenshil threatened to sue top government officials.

U.S. Soldiers used as a politca TOOL of IraqiPM

U.S. soldiers used as a political TOOL of the Iraqi President..

Politics by other means....
Iraq's crackdown on the Mehdi Army in Basra poses a dilemma for the United States, which wants Iraqi forces to take a lead on security but risks getting sucked into their violent Shi'ite feud.

But there is little prospect of a swift victory. The fighting has spread through southern regions, drew the U.S. forces and led to protests in Baghdad by followers of Sadr, who say Maliki is using force to weaken his political rivals.

"The key question now is what the United States is going to do," said Joost Hiltermann, of the International Crisis Group think tank. "If it allows (the crackdown) to go forward the ceasefire will unravel and the U.S. will face the Sadr movement in its full power."

"This will be bad for both sides. Sadr will lose men and the United States will lose the gains of the surge".

Analysts say Maliki's decision to launch the Basra crackdown, instead of carrying through with a promised offensive against Sunni Islamist militants in the northern city of Mosul, lends weight to the Sadrist accusations of a political agenda.

The attacks have targeted the Mehdi Army while leaving two other powers in Basra, the Fadhila party and the militant Badr Organisation of the Supreme Islamic Iraqi Council (SIIC) -- which supports Maliki's Dawa Party -- largely untouched.
