People being released after 20 and 30 years were convicted on the standards of the day. There was no reliable commodity-DNA testing then convictions were based on witness testimony and other forms of evidence. Nobody was wrong then and nobody should make more of this than it is....application of new science to old cases.

| If DNA is accurate enough for releasing convicted criminals, why isn't it accurate enough to convict suspects who have been acquitted of the crime? If we can go back and retest convicted people, why can't we also go back and retest ones who were wrongfully found innocent? Seems fair to me. |

| Too bad he wasn't executed for his crimes, then we wouldn't have to worry about him filing a lawsuit against the government. What we need in this country is a looser standard for the death penalty. That way the State can erase their mistakes. Quote:
