| We elect them and pay them and pamper them for the sole purpose of representing us in gov't. That means they NEED to be there to cast our votes for us on every issue. I don't think there's a valid excuse to miss even one. Even though most of what they are voting on is frivolous BS, they are our voice in all matters and if they don't vote, we aren't being represented in exchange for our taxes. But it's not surprising. I wonder what the average of votes missed per session is for the House and Senate as a whole... |

| Not to ruin the moment but aren't most of the "votes" in congress crap like "Agreeing to revise and extend the minutes of debate" and "Agreeing to revise the amendment and extend debate on the proposal of the Gentlewoman from New Mexico" Which are basically stupid votes on minutia? |
