Jenna Bush wedding a big event for tiny Crawford

"CRAWFORD — Saturday, in an Oscar de la Renta gown with twin sister Barbara at her side, Jenna Bush, 26, will marry 29-year-old business school student Henry Hager at her parents' Central Texas ranch.

It's probably as close as Oscar de la Renta will ever get to Crawford.

They can get away with saying that because they know that most of their readers have never been to Crawford and have no idea that it's not even really a town, so much as a wide spot in the road surrounded by ranches.

Notice the media is staying in Waco and not Crawford? That's because Crawford has no hotel. And only one restaurant. And a feed store and farming implements store. A couple of gift stores where you can buy kickin' hot sauce and George Bush memorabilia.

And that's it.

So to insinuate that Crawford has "fallen on hard times" because of lack of tourism is ridiculous.
