At first I was a little pissed when I saw this. Then, after reading the article, I'm impressed that they made the change. More business owners need to make their own rules. Who cares if you piss some people off, you make others happy. As they said, there are pleanty of places you can takle your kids if you want a family night out. Kudos to them!

There should be a smoking ONLY restaurant. Employees too. Maybe they can sign a wavier stating that they are working there of their own free will and the restaurant will not be liable for any health issues that may arise.

This wasn't about smoking and non-smoking - it was about control. It would have been way too easy for those sensitive to smoke to just go to one of the many non-smoking restaurants. What they really want was to flex their muscles.

Now that the control freaks got their way, they will move onto something else that offends them, and lobby to get IT banned.

They aren't done with smoking yet. Next will be a ban on smoking in public, even outside. Then in apartments. Then in cars with kids.
