We know this. Many jobs with firms today require a certain amount of blacks be hired. These employers are begging for qualified smart black people to fill these jobs. A black who comes out of school with good marks and works hard will have no problem going up in that company and they will earn the same money or more. Large firms and Government jobs are begging for qualified blacks who want to work. They have quotas to be met and they want to fill them with the best available.

I am finding that young people no matter what their color seem to think when they come out of school something is owed to them, they dont know how to show up on time ,and they dont know how to work when they get there.

You show up at a potential employer with tattoos, nose rings, your pants down around your azz, you dress like a bum, you dont comb your hair ,and you dont speak respectfully ,and you cannot fill out an employment application without help, and you arent going to get a job.

Attitude. Good manners ,and a good job ethic is what people look at when they hire. It might help also to remember that an employer is going to call your previous employers,and if you screwed up there, its doubtful you will get that second chance.

I agree with your entire post. even the "Thats a little sharp:".

I intended it to be sharp. Research her posts and you will see why. She is part of the problem. She thinks southern Marylanders are uneducated, rude and crude because we tell it like it is. She thinks we've never left the county.

She got her panties in a wad because we were happy DeShawn killed himself.

I'm sick of her and her type who cause the racial problems of today and I will smack them down every chance I get.

10 masters in "Would you like fries with that?" still equates to mid to low income at best. You've already stated what you do for a living and if you want me to believe you have a high paying job, you're more ignorant than I even thought.

I think you're mad because you found a person that can brush your meaningless comments off and respond to you on a higher level (without being rude.). Please do look at my posts and you will see that I GREW up in Southern Maryland and attended Charles County schools for my entire life. Majority of my family and friends are still in Southern Maryland. So, for me to suggest that Southern Marylanders are uneducated, etc. would make me a hypocrite. That I am not!

And actually YOU are part of the problem (if not THE problem). You do not offend me, threaten me, etc. but conversing with you is like conversing with a drug addict completely POINTLESS… So, please do be sick of me because your negativity only energizes me.

I never said anything about MONEY.... I am not a MONEY driven person. And if you must know my B.S. is in Computer Science and my 1st M.S. is in Information Technology Management. I left my career to do something I felt would positively help my community. Taking a major pay cut.

BTW.... I never mentioned what my husband’s occupation is so you don’t know what my income is and it really doesn’t matter.
