Please enlighten me, is the article saying it has a range of 40 miles per charge or 40 miles before the engine kicks in? I can't figure out what the euphoria is about.

It is saying it gets 40 miles on electric only then it will switch to gas if needed. Personally I am not euphoric about it, just thought it was interesting.
