Foot Chase California Behind Walmart

Police out on a Foot Chase. Individual wrecked his '03 Toyota 4 Door.

Gray Tank Top, Blue Jeans or Blue shorts, 5'10" - 5'11", #1 male w/ Braids

2057: Apparently tried to gain entry to a police car. Police saying last place subject seen was behind Food Lion. Police trying to get units behind K-Mart.

2059: K-9 appears to have a track. Requesting a HELO if available.

2101: Trying to piece together what started all this. Apparentlyt here was a theft and a fight as well. Appears to have been the same subject involved. Busy fella. Something being referenced about the Laurel Glenn apartments. A believe a relative lives there. Subject's keys are in the vehicle. I think it belongs to a relative as well.

2104 Trooper 7 enroute with 5-7 minute eta.

2105. Appartently the fight earlier was this guy fighting with the officer trying to gain access to his vehicle.

2109: Police found court papers in the car, suspecting the subjects name on the court papers are one & the same. Name comes back as being wanted by other police dept as well. Mr. Popular.

2112 Police advising Dispatch to inform Trooper 7 there are focusing on the Pond behind Walmart.

2114: Trooper 7 up. Switch 8-TAC2

2117: Trooper 7 not getting patched corrrectly. I just saw them heading toward Solomons Bridge. They just got turned around heading back in the right direction now.

2119: Trooper 7 unable to make contact via 8-TAC2 so switched PMARS. Trooper 7 has contact ith ground units now. Trooper 7 circling over 4 & 235. Got better directions to Walmart.

2122: Police on ground are static. (no track).

2126: Police running multiple phone numbers and names trying to come up with any history. I believe the police are at a former girlfriend of the subjects house checking out ther caller ID, with her permission.

2131: Trooper 7 advises negative search results. Trooper 7 enroute to the hanger. Ground units clear him off.

Time for me to gear up and go to work. Nite all

Just a little follow up.

I never could figure out exactly what started all this. My best guess was that the initial call was for a theft at Laurel Glen shopping center. Once police were on the scene the subject either tried to get away with a vehicle and crashed or attempted to run the officer off the road or something. When I first caught on that something was going on the officer and the suspect were fighting. The officer said the subject had 10-50ed but I was unsure if the subject hit the officers car or was trying to gain access to it. Was pretty confusing at the time.

I am unsure if the subject was ever caught as yet. I know several people got into trouble giving the police false information and hidering the investigation so smart boy did not go down alone.
