Shots Fired - Lexington Park

First call was for a fight in progress. While officers were on the way a 2nd call of shots fired went out. After police were dispatched a vehicle was stopped with numerous people inside and plenty of movement.

Police are now in the process of shutting down the road at Butler's Place.
11:18 Southbound lane of 235 next to Butler's is now closed down. The shots were apparently fired in or near Butler's Place.
11:20 They apparently know who one or more of the subjects are and they are apparently out on foot at this time. I have heard nothing that indicates anyone was injured when the shots were fired as yet.
11:21 They have a vehicle of interest stopped with 4 occupants detained. Requesting additional officers to help search the vehicle.
11:24 Vehicle has been cleared. Additional officers heading to the original scene of the complaint.

If I understand this correctly the original incident took place on Bristol Ave. which appears to be located directly behind Butler's Place.

11:31 Police appear to be be setting up a perimeter of some sort and staging at various intersections in the neighborhood.
11:37 Police runnning names on numerous individuals. The original vehicle, which appears to have been a Chevy Suburban, stills seems to be their vehicle of most interest.
11:41 I have heard nothing that indicates they are looking for a fleeing subject. No references to K-9 tracks, helos etc. So I "think" the officers have some confidence the have the right parties detained.
11:44 10-3 on the channel has been lifted.
11:52 Not much being passed, several officers clearing now. Apparently the correct individals are in the officers hands and they are dotting the "I"s and crossing the "T"s now.
11:56 Original complaint now being changed to an assualt. Also some chatter about another complaint about a vehicle B&E but I am unsure if related to this incident.
12:03 Now hearing chatter about a specific individual the officers are interested in having been seen running away fromt the incident. Police now interested in this subject.

Rumor mill has it that some of the young gangbangers out of DC have been coming down this way recently because of an unrelated incident. I believe it has had something to do with all of the hub-bub we have been hearing lately on Rogers Dr.

Drove by there, they had 4 black males on the ground. One police officer was using his megaphone. Couldn't tell what he was saying though.

Probably the 4 from the Suburban.

I logged off for a while and while off heard that they apparently have another known subject who took off on foot. Maybe there were trying to get him to come out of the shadows with the megaphone.

Also heard that apparently one of the houses the police went to to question the residents ended up having a window(s) broken out of it. Once police arrived they searched the home and then decided to make that a Burglary call as well.

2:17 I can't tell that they ever did catch this other guy they are looking for. I think they know who he is and well catch up with him soon enough.
