Yep, almost 12 hours is "way too long" for an alleged cop killer. He should have been released on his own recognizance 15 minutes after he got to jail, or this would have never happened.

Okay, the guy was supposedly in isolation, supposedly had a pre-lockup physical ruling him okay, supposedly only a few COs had access, supposedly no cameras in that area (hmm, wonder why?) but I guess you think it was supposedly a naturally caused death. This stinks and stinks bad, what's next, another inmate did it?

Would this not be even worse if it was discovered that one of the other suspects in custody had actually been the driver who ran over the officer?

Seriously, I hope they discover that this was NOT done by a corrections or police officer. Otherwise this story will completely overshadow the other and turn an alleged cop killer into some kind of martyr.

I don't see where racism plays a part in this personally. The jail is 90% African American, the correctional officers are probably mainly African American and the county government is mainly African American. Just my thought.

No, but hopefully they will be caught, charged, and live long enough to face their accusers, be tried by a jury of their peers, found guilty, sentenced to fry, exhaust their appeals, then be disposed of like the trash they are.

Wouldn't it be great if the thug had the same right to a fair trial? You know, the fair trial that's guaranteed by our constitution?

Excellent idea. I hope that happens.
