A lawyer will take the case, they'll win, and the check will be very large.

I hope this case convinces O'Malley to start capital punishment again. The person who did this deserves to die.

All of the statements about the actions of one puts a dark shadow on all the force is right. Men in blue are our street soldiers, so to speak. It's a brotherhood - and more likely a few took vigilante and revenge or even eye for an eye action.

Unfortunately, the "kid" should have been taken out of jurisdiction. May or may not have helped, but emotionally charged bretheren seem to want to take care of business. Can't say I wouldn't feel the same.

I watched the press conference last night..or some of it. He was not with the general inmate population but in a holding cell while awaiting transfer to another location..(out of the county I believe they said). There were no video cameras. I got the distinct impression from Johnson and the chief of police that they are passing the blame to the detention facility.

...the larger issue; This guy was a menace to society. What are the chances his family raised him right, to be responsible and to be law abiding and he simply refused the lessons? Even if so, why should they benefit, in any way, from his demise if they are responsible for his teaching and that teaching lead to this? Maybe they didn't do a good enough job. Maybe he was just a bad seed. Maybe it's all societies fault.

That still does not make a just case for anyone benefiting from his demise.
His story is over. It's done. The only thing left now is holding those responsible, if anyone, for not following the rules, same as this kid.

That said, being a menace and getting rid of one are not, as a matter of fairness, the same threat to society.

One of our Deputies here where I work says he was put in a cell with no cameras nearby. Appears that one of the Deputies did the deed to the guy. The guy should have never gone to PG Jail. We send prisoner to neighboring jurisdiction's jail so that the "temptation" would not be there for our Deputies/Officers to "off" the guy.

But.. with that being said, Thank you Deputy "Noname" for taking out the garbage!

It is very possible and an autopsy will tell if the injury was recent or not. I just hate the thought that this scum cop killer’s family could bank anything on his death.

Even if the injury was a result of his arrest 33 hours before, they will still claim that law enforcement should have known he needed medical attention and from the looks of the picture and the crimes he committed, there is no doubt in my mind, the guy was a junkie. Of course, none of that will matter and we the tax payers will pay dearly for this. Like Bre already mentioned, the cost will be vastly greater.

Oh yes. The public will be paying much more now than they would have if we'd house him doing time for the crime.
Whoever did this just brought themselves down to the same level as the prisoner. Maybe even lower if you consider that THIS was premeditated and they'll argue that running down Findley was a "panic" action.

Wow...this is America right? This guy was charged, not found guilty. Some douchebag committed a lynching basically and I see why he might feel he was entitled for all the calls for blood. I still believe in American justice, and that has nothing to do with cops running around murdering people.

I believe this was done at the hands of a corrections officer not a police officer. At least that is what was said last night during the press conference.
